Dear Peanut…

Dear Peanut…

There’s a song by The Beatles that has followed me for many years… “Dear Prudence.”

The day I brought Peanut home from the SPCA, she curled herself under the seat of the car, trembling and unseen. As the song drifted through my mind, I began to hum it to her, only the words shifted:

Dear Peanut, won’t you come out to play?

For nearly two years, she didn’t. Peanut preferred her corners and shadows. She lived hidden, as if the world was too much. My quiet prayer in those years was that she would one day feel safe enough to open her eyes, step out, and see the wonder of life.

What I didn’t realize then was that she was teaching me the same lesson.

To open my eyes.
To see the wonder.
To remember that safety is found in love, not control.

And slowly, side by side, we did.

Peanut and I walked through extraordinary years together. She bloomed into her own, a small dog with a big soul, wise, tender, fiercely devoted. In return, she watched me bloom too.

Her passing has left a soft, quiet ache in my chest. But when I close my eyes, I hear the song again, only now I know its truest meaning:

Dear Peanut, the sun is up, the sky is blue.
It’s beautiful, and so are you.

Thank you, my little one, for teaching me how to see.

Honoring the Passage

This Saturday, seven days after her passing, I will be holding a Chakana Ritual to open the portal through the veil and release her soul. The depth of this ritual is not something I can fully share here, but I can offer you a way to honor the passage of any beloved being and to begin transmuting grief into beauty.

Arrange four white taper candles into a square.

  • As you light each one, meditate on the seasons of a life:

    • Spring – birth and early life

    • Summer – childhood

    • Fall – adulthood

    • Winter – elder years

Once all four are lit, bring offerings that remind you of them, a favorite meal, a treat, a flower they loved and give these to flowing water, like a river or waterfall, or directly to the Earth.

Sing songs, speak prayers, send your love and gratitude across the veil.

You may sit with the candles until they burn to completion, or gently snuff them out in the reverse order. If you return them to your home, you can reform the square later and allow them to burn to completion.

This simple ritual is a way of saying: your life mattered, and my love follows you still.

Carrying Forward the Lesson
As I walk forward without Peanut by my side, I carry her teaching into my work. She showed me what it means to live with eyes wide open, to meet the world with courage, and to trust the beauty that reveals itself when we feel safe enough to be seen.

This is the essence of what I’ll be guiding in my upcoming offerings, helping you open your own eyes, step into your true voice, and lead with the power of presence.

👉 My next live 3-day immersion, Radical Integrity: Veritas in te vivit, is coming soon. It’s a chance to illuminate what’s real, transmute what holds you back, and reclaim your sacred path of leadership.

If your heart is ready, I invite you to walk with me. Keep an eye out for the registration invite!

👉 I have 2 Coaching Spots open this month! If you would like to explore coaching with me check it out here! You can also schedule a consult call if you need clarity if this is for you or not...

With love,
